Illustration Friday: "Visitors"

8/25: Visitors, oil on paper, approx. 3.5x5 in.

Here's a corny little piece, my first time with an Illustration Friday topic. It was done on a printout of a sketch, coated with acrylic medium. So, I was thinking, what about when the first two little pigs show up at the third pig's house? Corny. And it disturbs me a little somehow.

haha.. poor little pig, you should add a little bit of bruises here and there, but it will be to scarry for the kids *I think :D
Nice technique! wish I could do acrylic- sigh... ;')

I like it, kind of looks like they went through a little bit more than the "big bad wolf"

Poor Pigs, they look a little disenchanted and depressed, maybe it has to do with knowing that the third pig built a better house?

What a cool design. I really like the illustration style. The pigs are only slightly creepy in a Dr.Moreau sort of way.

Actually, I think it's adorable! Not corny at all. I love their dejected "tail betweeen their legs" look. Like they regret that their brother was right all along. Cool!

Excellent, this picture really tells a story, the subtle reference to the house of straw and the house of wood is very clever, nice one.

You are great with acrylics. I am a pencil man myself and it looks like you draw with paint. You make something look easy that is very difficult. I really like the pigs emotions and how they are a little disturbing. Great work!

Congratulations on winning "Pick of the Week on IF for your very first submission!

Your work is lush and delightful.

And yes, a tad disturbing. It seems you may be suggesting that the pigs are, mmm... a bit challenged?

Wow, I love those pigs.

Lots going on with their expressions and attitude.
